Taylor stands at approximately 35cms tall or 14 inches.
He is probably of English origin, although due to his wear, it is quite difficult to be certain of his maker.
He has been very well loved in the past and his eyes have been replaced with buttons (like so many other old bears).
He has a lot of his old fur coat and we think that is probably why Taylor was dressed in some pretty cool handmade clothes which he was wearing when he came to live with us. More Details

Titanic Bear was created for the 80th Anniversary of the sinking of Titanic in 1912 by Merrythought.
This little bear is a replica of the teddy thatv was given to the Restaurant Manager Gaspare Luigi Gatti by his son before the ship set sail.
Sadly Gatti did not survive the sinking but when his body was pulled from the water, the little bear was found in his pocket.
It was then returned to Gatti's widow.
Merrythought first put this little bear in their 1993 catalogue and he was an immediate success.
He is a Limited Edition Teddy number 3531 of just 5000 worldwide.
He comes in his very own beautiful Titanic Box which tells his story.
(We noticed one of these bears in the Merrythought Museum recently). More Details

Steven was made in the 1920's.
He stands at approximately 56 cms tall.
Poor old bear has lost his mouth stitching but retains his nose stitching.
He must have also lost both his eyes many years ago, as they have been replaced by some old boot buttons but we love them and we think they add to his old world charm.
Steven has a wonky left leg that has been stitched to his body so it does make sitting down a bit of a problem for him but we love him as he is and we really don't want to perform surgery on him.
He wears a gorgeous and very old hand knitted sweater that he was wearing when he came to live with us, infact it is probably almost as old as he is. More Details
