Gino's Bears - Teddy Bears

Jason was probably made by the famous British teddy bear makers called Merrythought in the 1960's.
He stands at approximately 37cms tall.
He has gorgeous golden mohair, although some of it has been lost to time.
However, Jason retains his original eyes together with his original mouth and nose stitching.
He also retains his original paw pads.
Jason's joints are also in good condition.
He is dressed as he came to us, in his beautiful waiter's uniform, so he is always ready to serve you when you next have your teddy bear's picnic. More Details

Big Bruno...
Measures approximately 58cms tall.
Circa 1950's / 1960's and made in England.
He has beautiful light blonde fur but also lots of balding due to his age.
He has a number of mends but he is a very strong old bear.
Bruno seems to have one eye a bit darker than the other but we have no reason to believe that they have been replaced.
He has lovely big teddy ears that will listen to all your dreams and desires.
He wears his hand knitted tank top sweater which we gave to him when he come to live with us - to keep his old body warm.
He retains his original nose and mouth stitching and he has not been given new pads.
His joints are also working.
Big Bruno a bear that will undoubtedly make you smile.

Georgie is a gorgeous old bear made by the German teddy bear makers of Schuco back in the 1920's.
He is one of their famous Yes/No Bears.
Georgie stands at approximately 12cms tall.
Unfortunately, he has lost both ears during his past, probably due to too many hugs and kisses, so we have given him a very smart hat (to hid his modesty), we also think because it is a little bit 'wild' that it really suits him and he loves it.
Georgie has lost a lot of his body fur.
He still retains his original eyes and 'some' of his nose stitching (bit not a ot).
He still has his original mouth stitching.
All of Georgie's joints are still in working order, although as expected, they are a little bit loose.
His yes/no function on his back still works too, despite having no fur attached to it.
Georgie is a lovely chocolate brown colour, which is a beautiful colour for an old teddy bear I think.
Georgie really is a very sweet little teddy.

Billy
A beautiful English Teddy Bear.
Circa early 1950's.
Billy has his original glass eyes which will melt your heart.
He still has his original label on his neck but it has faded so much you cannot read it.
Billy is approximately 34 cms tall - a very good size for an old teddy bear.
His nose has suffered from the realms of time (probably too many kisses) and all his paw pads have been recovered with some red material from long ago, but we just love him as he is so we haven't changed him.
After all, it is a big part of his wonderful old character and in a way it tells of his story and history.
Billy Bear is dressed as he came to us but we gave him one of Gino's best badges (which he is not too pleased about) so that he feels wanted and loved.
Lovely Old Billy is now looking for a warm and loving home to live out the rest of his days. More Details

Carlo's previous owner lived in Amalfi, Italy,
He is a gorgeous old Hermann teddy who was probably created in the early 1940's.
Carlo still has his original glass eyes and nose and mouth stitching.
Although Carlo has lots of balding, he still retains much of his fur coat, which is a beautiful light mink colour.
Carlo measures approximately 33cms tall.
His joints are all working too.
Now Carlo is desperately looking for a new home.

He-Ping (Chinese for peace and calm).
A gorgeous little girl panda teddy bear who stands at aproximately 19cms tall.
Probably of English origin and made in the 1950's.
He-Ping has lost some of her mohair and she has a large hold in her right ear (her ears are made of felt).
However, she still retains her original glass eyes and her nose and mouth stitching (although her nose is a little worn).
He-Ping is an unjointed teddy.
She will bring you good luck and would make a great addition to any hug of old teddy bears/pandas.

Circa 1920's.
Alice stands at approximately 42cms tall.
She has her beautiful and original glass eyes, she also has her original nose and mouth stitching.
Alice has lost nearly all of her fur and she has loads of repairs, mends and even some fur grafts - she has obviously been very well loved during her previous life.
She still has five-way working joints (although they are a little bit wobbly now).
Alice also has some claw stitching left on her paw pads (both her hands and feet).
Alice is wearing a lovely old floral cotton print dress (that she was wearing when she came to live with us). This dress has the old 'utility' label in the back, which was famous during WW2.
Alice has such a sweet expression and she has bags of character. She would love to find a new and loving home - she is certainly a gorgeous old teddy bear.

Hank is just the very cutest little old panda we have ever seen.
He stands at approximately 19cms tall.
We believe he was made by an English maker, probably in the 1930's.
Hank has lost lots of his fur and he has also lost one of his old glass eyes.
Poor old Hank has also lost most of his nose and mouth stitching, but he retains loads and loads of old bear personality and appeal and we wouldn't like him any other way.
His old joints are all still working.
When you hold Hank he just feels so cute and tactile in your hand, probably because he is small and gorgeous.
If you love old pandas you will certainly lose your heart to this old fella. More Details

Lovely little Smee stands at approximately 20 cms tall.
Made by the famous German Teddy bear makers called Hermann, he still has his Hermann medal on his right paw.
Made in the 1980's.
We named him Smee because we just think it really does suit him.
Smee is of course, fully jointed.
He has beautiful blonde mohair and has his original eyes and nose and mouth stitching.
Smee also wears his original clothes that he was wearing when he came to live with us.
He is in very good condition for his age and he is a lovely size if you are searching for a teddy bear travelling companion. More Details

Rolo......
Is an Old Chiltern Teddy Bear circa 1950's.
He has lovely glass eyes but we are unsure whether they are his original eyes or not, but they are very beautiful!
He stands at approximately 38 cms tall.
He has lost loads of his fur but that is only to be expected for a teddy bear of his age.
Rolo also has replacement paw pads on both his hands and his feet, however, he has a couple of original claw stitches left on his right foot pad.
Rolo also wears a stripped yellow and green sweater that he was wearing when he came to live with us - it really suits him too.
Rolo certainly is a real sweetie!!!!! More Details

A fine Old Merrythought Bear called Louis.
Circa 1960's.
Louis Bear stands at approximately 42 cms tall.
Made of beautiful golden mohair with some balding which is only expected of a bear of his age but Louis is still in very good condition.
He still has his original eyes and nose and mouth stitching.
Lovely old Louis also has his original paw pads and on his right foot pad he retains his Merrythought label.
Louis is also fully jointed, all his joints being in good condition.
A teddy who will melt your heart.

Simon
Is a very beautiful old English teddy bear who stands approximately 47cms tall.
Simon is rather special - he has bells in both ears (something many teddy bear collectors find extremely appealing).
Circa 1960's.
Simon is fully jointed and still has his original eyes and nose and mouth stitching.
He also has his original paw pads.
Simon is fully jointed and in good condition for his age apart from the usual balding which all bears of his age has and he also has a 4cm square of fur graft on his back, maybe due to an accident in the past. However, the operation was very well done.
Simon wears a hand knitted cardigan that he was wearing when he came to stay with us, it must have been made especially for him many years ago and it really suits him.
Simon is a real gentleman teddy bear.
