Gino's Bears - Teddy Bears

You maybe looking for a teddy as a gift for that very special someone in which case take a look at Valentine who is a very sweet little German Bear (probably Hermann).
He is approximately 26 cms tall and has his original glass eyes, nose and paw pads. Valentine has been very loved in his time and hence has lots of balding all over but no repairs.
We gave Valentine a bright red waistcoat to keep him warm in wintertime now that he has lost a lot of his fur.

This is a very fine example of a late Chad Valley / Chiltern Teddy Bear, made in 1968 just before Chiltern vanished forever.
She still retains his label on her side.
Honey has nylon fur and is unjointed.
Honey incorporates a one-piece filling known as "fairy foam" which was made to be fully washable (however, it is not advisable to wash him now).
Fairy foam was used in the 1950's in many soft toys.
Honey Bear is approx. 28 cms tall and is in lovely condition for her age.
She retains her black plastic nose (this type of nose is adored by many collectors) and amber and black eyes.
She also has her original honey pot which is also in very good condition.

Jenny a sweet old teddy bear standing at approximately 31 cms tall.
Jenny still has her original glass eyes, her original stitched nose and mouth.
Circa 1930's.
Jenny has lots of balding and her paw pads are leaking some stuffing, but she is still very beautiful.
Old teddy bears who are leaking stuffing still need love.

Maisie is one of the most beautiful old teddy bear girls that we have ever seen and for her age she is on very good condition.
Circa 1930.
Maisie stands at approximately 52 cms tall.
Maisie still has her original eyes, nose and mouth, although some of her nose is missing.
Of course, Maisie has some balding due to her age, but not too much, just enough to show that she has been very much loved during the past.
Her paw pads are made of cotton twill and are complete, although they are a little grubby.
Maisie still has a working growler.
Maisie still wears her original clothes which are quite worn but which suitsher and which she feels comfortable in, after all the years she has worn the same clothes, to change them would be rather sad, we think and someone must have loved her so much to make her such lovely clothes.
We have given her an Elsie Bear brooch which she loves and we hope that it makes her feel special, because that is what she is.

Meet Mr McCleod.....
One of the Deans quartet of Mini Mr Bears, developed into a best selling range of teddy bears in 1994.
These beautiful 8 inch bears represented characters with a story to tell.
Mr McCleod being the fisherman.
They came in a limited edition of 3,000.
This Mr McCleod is number 8 of 3,000.
Mr McCleod, a really cute little Deans Teddy Bear who needs lots and lots of hugs.

A gorgeous old teddy bear called Jeremy.
Jeremy comes from the 1960's and he produced by the famous British manufacturers called Alpha Farnell.
He still has his label on his tummy to prove it.
Jeremy is in lovely condition for his age apart from the rexine peeling off his paw pads, which is usual for teddy bears of his age.
Jeremy stands approximately 32 cms tall.
He retains his original eyes, and nose and mouth stitching and every bit of his wonderful old character too.
He retains his original red ribbon.
Jeremy certainly is a stunning old teddy bear and was obviously loved a lot in the past.

A Very Very Special Old Teddy Bear Called Bernhard.
Bernhard comes from the German makers of Hermann.
He is approximately 44 cms tall and, for his age, he is in very good condition indeed, of course he has some balding like all bears of his age.
We believe he dates to the late 1930's.
Bernhard has his original eyes, nose (slightly worn), mouth and his original paw pads.
Bernhard is a truly gorgeous old teddy bear in his own right., however, Bernhard has a special secret - he has met and been signed on his paw pads by five Mosquito Crew Members of World War 2.

Although he is a tiny bear Hali still has the same character and personality as any giant teddy bear.
He is approx. 6 cms tall.
We believe he was made by the little known German makers called Hali (we have not had one of these little teddy bears before).
He has a very sweet little face which has a little plastic nose and a little red tongue.
We are a little unsure as to Hali's age as catalogues and information on this company is scarce, but at a guess we would say he's from the 1960's.
However, we believe that this company was inspired to make these teddy bears by the famous German makers called Schuco.
Hali is in great condition and is fully jointed with a lovely dark brown coat.
Anyone who loves little teddy bears would love him. More Details

Old Roger Bear is an English Bear who comes from the 1930's/1940's.
He wears his old hand knitted clothes that he was wearing when he came to live with us, obviously made and given to him many years ago by someone who loved him loads.
Roger stands approximately 38 cms tall (a good size for an old teddy).
He has obviously had loads of loving during his lifetime which shows by his rather bald appearance but he still has his original glass eyes, his original nose and mouth.
He has quite a few repairs to his old fur which must have been done quite a few decades ago, but we think this really adds to his overall character and charm.
Overall Old Roger Bear is a very strong old teddy bear who is just looking for a new home to go to where he will gets of love. More Details

A very sweet 1960's Deans/Gwentoys teddy bear.
He stands approximately 34 cms tall.
Lovely little Jimmy is in very good condition for his age and has his original eyes, nose, mouth stitching and paw pads.
He also has his label on his side.
What we love about little Jimmy so much is his sweet face.
He reminds us of days gone by, of days at the seaside and memories of childhood.
He is beautifully soft and warm.

Tom Jones is a gorgeous old English teddy bear who lived with his previous owner in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
Circa 1930's.
Tom stands approx. 50 cms tall - he is quite a big old boy it has to be said but he is gorgeous and so gentle.
Because of his age and the fact that he was loved so much he has lost quite a bit of his fur coat, but this does not spoil his good looks at all.
He also has some wear on his paw pads.
His original eyes have been replaced but he retains his original nose and mouth stitching and paw stitching.

Lovely Old Ringo who has outstretched arms just waiting to give you a cuddle........
Cira 1960's.
Ringo stands a very proud teddy bear at approx. 45 cms tall.
Ringo is in lovely condition for his age, although he shows just tiny signs of love and play.
He still has his label attached to his left hand side which reads 'CHAD VALLEY CHILTERN - HYGIENIC TOYS - Made in England' which is also in very good condition.
He has velveteen paw pads and although unjointed, Ringo is very tactile and loving.
You just cannot help but cuddle Ringo.
He also has the famous Chiltern Plastic Nose which many teddy bear collectors love - me included!!!!
Ringo has lovely dense fur for his age which is a gorgeous golden yellow colour.
We think he is just gorgeous.
It is very unusual to find a teddy bear like this in such good condition. More Details
