One of the most popular English teddy bear makers is the firm called Merrythought.
It's factory is based in the very beautiful and picturesque village of Ironbridge, one of the most beautiful parts of the U.K. we feel.
Any old teddy bear would certainly be very proud to have originated from such a marvellous place.
Merrythought teddy bears, of course, first appeared on the market in the 1930's and although it's production of bears was halted due to the war, it has been creating some of the world's best loved teddies ever since.
One of Merrythought's greatest creations and now known all around the world is of course the great Cheeky Teddy Bear.
Most collectors have at least one Merrythought bear in their collection and when you look at and hold one of their teddy bears, it is no wonder why.
